2, Log into the app with your barnesandnoble.com account.
3, Click the book cover to download the Nook books.

What directory are the Nook eBooks downloaded to?

C:\Users\<Account Name>\AppData\Local\Packages\BarnesNoble.Nook_ahnzqzva3 1enc\LocalState

After the Nook books have been downloaded, below are two ways to remove Nook DRM: Calibre and iSummerSoft Nook Converter.

Remove Nook DRM Calibre (Not Recommended)

Step 1, Get the hash key for removing Nook DRM

If your Nook tablet is rooted or if you have a rooted Android device with the Nook app, it’s possible to find the key and manually import it into DeDRM. However, it you don’t want to root your android device, then you’ll need the android emulator.

1, Download the latest Android SDK: https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools.html#tos-header and the rootGLP scripts: https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3572604&d=1449830207
2, Etract the file to your PC.
3, On your nook, tab Settings > About then click on the nook icon > Android Development Settings > Enable USB Debugging
4, Connect nook to your PC
5, Launch a command line and change directory to the saved Android SDK.
6, click and run the saved rootnook.cmd
7, In the nook’s shell, run ‘cat /data/data/bn.ereader/databases/cchashdata.db, then you will get a file named “cchashdata.db”.
8, Use a sqlite3 client to accesss the cchashdata.db file:
Open SQLite 3 Shell:
sqlite3 cchashdata.db
9, At the SQLite3 prompt run the following query to retrieve your key:
sqlite> select hash from cc_hash_data;
YOURHASHKEYXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX=
10, Create a plain text file in a text editor, paste in the key and save the file with a .b64 file extension.

Step 2, Set DeDRM on Calibre

If you have followed my tips on removing DRM from Kindle books, then you have already finished the install DeDRM process.

1, Download De-DRM Plugin here: https://github.com/apprenticeharper/DeDRM_tools/releasese
2, Click on Calibre > >Preferences > >Advanced >> Plugins > >load plugin from file.
3, Find DeDRM_plugin.zip. and Open it. The DeDRM plugin will displayed under the file type plugins.
4, Click Customize plugin, and then click Barnes and Noble ebooks and input the hash key.

Step 3, Convert nook books to kindle mobi format.

Click Add books>>Choose Mobi as the target format, then click “ok”. Your Nook books will be converted to Kindle format.

There is great oppotunity that you will failed to remove nook drm because you may not get the right hash key or failed to install calibre de-drm plugin. That’s why I don’t recommend this method at the very beginning. But this is a option if you want something free but challenge.

The Most Effective Way to Remove Nook DRM: Nook Converter

Different from above mentioned method, I will also offer you the easiest and most effective way to remove nook drm and convert nook to kindle. There is only one tool you’ll need–iSummerSoft Nook Converter.
